From the time I was born, my life was anything but ordinary. I was raised by a wonderful guardian who was kind, caring, and compassionate. He welcomed me in to his life like a son. What made him all the more extraordinary was that he stayed by my side even though I had a debilitating disease that was slowly killing me. Did I say "was"?
